2.7 framework missing???... |

Here is a 2nd fix for the error message upon install that says make sure you have 2.7 microsoft data access components installed or that the file epUI is missing or locked.
I tried to run the Mdac file that everyone said to run that will install the 2.7 framework that comes stock with xp. This however did not fix my problem and after trying all different versions and updates, and about a week later of trying to get this installed i found the fix.
For my machine the problem was that the mdac file in the system folder was not installing and needed to be done manually. In order to do this, you simply need to explore C: drive, go to Windows, then "inf", find the file mdac.inf (C:\Windows\Inf) and in that folder find the file mdac.inf. This folder is hidden so if you do not have windows showing all files including hidden, you must first do that in tools/folderoptions, then under view tab click view hidden. Right click on the mdac.inf file and click install. Follow the on screen directions and this solved the problem for me. After a week of not being able to get the program to run, this fixed it. You can almost always fix the problem if you google the error code you are getting. someone has always had the problem before.
