If you've been around the web for a while - especially community sites devoted to software development tools or programming languages, then you've seen lots of conflict.
I suppose a certain amount of that is inevitable in a diverse community, but I'll tell everyone right up front -- I don't like it.
To help keep it down, please observe the following rules:
1) Do your best to treat everyone the way you would like to be treated.
2) Please refrain from using profanity. No .. I'm not some puritanical weasel trying to censor anyone. However, I am aware that this portal will serve members of all ages and many different cultural background. I want all of them to be comfortable.
3) Be patient. A primary focus of this portal is to serve the needs of the newcomer. Part of whats cool about Limnor is that it opens the door to software development to people who may not have any software development or programming experience at all. I think thats GREAT! Its what I like most about Limnor - programming for everyone. Sometimes, these new people will have needs and ask questions that will seem silly or obvious to some of us who have been around a while. Please be patient and generous with newcomers and beginners.
4) Please don't flame each other. If you don't like someone, or the things they post, take the conflict into private mail. We don't need it here.
Thats pretty much it for the time being. I hope we can all conform to these simple requirements and enjoy our use of the portal.
